Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at MAPS

To make Mahatma Gandhi’s Vision of Swachh Bharat realistic, our Honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi exhorted people of India through his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to pay attention towards the cleanliness of the country. Taking ahead this torch of cleanliness and respond to the call of Primr Minister, the school also organized Swachhta Abhiyan “Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya” on 2nd October 2014. It was also a way to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi whose dream was it to make the city clean. Large group of students from all classes enthusiastically participated in the drive and visited the different areas of school, Chhotu Ram Park and its vicinity where they picked up the litter from all around that left a strong message for all the residents and the passerby people that every little hand is important in accomplishing this goal of clean India. Students, during their drive, also interacted with people to know what they independently think of this problem and how far they wish to contribute in this direction.
The enthusiasm and dedication of the students was worth appreciating that taught every member of MAPS a good lesson that there is no work beyond one’s dignity if it is done with the true spirit of being Indian. It has its own value and will benefit the entire community sooner or later.

The drive came to its end with a speech on how to maintain cleanliness and a pledge by every student of the school to keep motivated and dedicated to this effort lifelong till the dream of cleanliness is achieved.
